Project of visual adaptation of the University Hospital of the Southeast, to improve the communication of health professionals with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, by means of sheets of pictograms designed by the association SURESTEA, with the pictograms of ARASAAC, to explain simply the hospital techniques to the that pediatric patients with these disorders will face.
Many patients with autism have difficulties with verbal language, but not with visual language, and therefore present the information in this way, with pictograms and photographs, allows them to easily understand the development of the different medical and nursing techniques of the Hospital.
The slides also have photographs of hospital techniques, so that patients can anticipate (both at home and in the hospital) what they are going to do, and reduce the anxiety with which they face hospital care.
This application uses pictograms from ARASAAC and SURESTEA, distributed under a CC BY NC SA license, and is therefore distributed with the same license. For more information, go to https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.0/es/
