Best Sudoku app I've tried. Numbers laid out in dialpad format which makes them easier to tap than other apps. Pencil marks correspond to where the numbers are on the numpad, cohesive. Many difficulties with good tutorials on techniques specific to each level. Animated details, like the true number in a cell growing from the candidate when you enter it, add to the polish. Configurable assistance and input settings. Minor nitpick: the numpad could utilize more screen space on newer tall phones.

So far my favorite app for the game. I also really liked Andoku 2, and still play that occasionally but there's so many improvements in 3. The tutorials are very easy to learn from, the interface is wonderfully clear and simple, and overall three app is easy to use. Lots of difficulty options and sudoku variants. decent customization.

Andoku Sudoku 3 is a brilliant experience (paid). A great feature to add in a future update would be the ability to manually color (highlight) candidates or cells. I think implementing coloring would set this app apart from much of the competition. The ability to select a color icon in the ui (near the pencil icon, etc.), select a color, select a cell, and then select an existing candidate from that cell (or a fill cell option), could be a great additition that I think many people would love.
