The app is a lot like Duolingo, except it's for learning ASL. It's easy to navigate and learn ASL as a beginner. I was really enjoying it overall! The "slow down" button does help me to learn the quicker signs easier. HOWEVER... It basically gives you an ultimatum- You can't progress without PURCHASING a subscription. Even with the promise of a 7-Day Free Trial, I am still feeling like it's really expensive! Options are to pay $18/monthly, $48/billed every 3 months, or $120/billed annually.

I love using this app to learn ASL. I like going at my pace. There's a trainer to practice what I know, there's a dictionary for looking stuff up, and the chapters are outlined so I can refresh my memory or get excited about upcoming lessons. I always look forward to learning the lessons and practicing. I can put videos on slow-mo to see it better, and I can repeat them. If I have questions I use Google or ask my hearing cousin bc her mom (my aunt) is deaf. I like the Streak fires and the graces

I was originally a college major for deaf studies and ASL interpreting and the program was discontinued. I had about a year left and switched my major to special education. I have been working with more students who need or use ASL and learned the hard way "If you don't use it, you lose it". The app is definitely pricey but worth it. I was able to pick up very quickly but it's great as a refresher as well! I do have so feedback but I don't have enough word space for it. It freezes sometimes.
