Sheikh Ibn 'Atha'illah as-Sakandari (d.1399 AD) lived in Egypt during the reign of the Mameluk Dynasty. He was born in Alexandria (Alexandria), then moved to Cairo. It was in this city that he spent his life teaching Maliki jurisprudence in various intellectual institutions, including Al-Azhar Mosque. At the same time he is also widely known as a third major "master" (syeikh) in this Sufi order of the Syadziliyah order.
