Conditions for Obligation
There are three conditions for a person to pray prayer:
- Islam,
- Maturity,
- Reason.
But children who have reached the age of seven are ordered to pray. If he does not pray even when he is ten years old, he is only beaten with the hand, not with a stick, for the purpose of teaching.
Namaz means prayer in the dictionary. In Shariat, it is a prayer consisting of special actions and words, which begins with the opening takbir and ends with salam.
