The castle was built by Duke Francis II and his daughter Anne de Bretagne in the middle of the medieval district of Nantes and houses a ducal palace in Tuffeau stone whose white color and fine construction contrasts with the rough exterior walls. Five persons: a soldier of Duke Francis II of Brittany, a lady-in-waiting of Anne de Bretagne, an English prisoner, a musketeer of Louis XIV and a narrator accompany you in discovering the history of this fortified palace. They draw your attention to the architectural details. During the visit photos help you to find your way around and in the rooms of the castle.
