Sahih al-Bukhari, is one of the al-Kutub al-Sittah (six major hadith books) of Sunni Islam. These prophetic traditions or hadith were collected by the Persian Muslim scholar Muhammad al-Bukhari and transmitted after oral generations. Sunni Muslims see this as one of the three largest collections of hadiths along with Sahih Muslim and Imam Muwatta Malik. In some circles, it is considered the most authentic book after the Koran.
