The SalivaCODE™ App is used for interactive preparation and guidance for a private person to perform saliva collection in an optimal and most standardized way possible. High-quality saliva for the detection of microbes is best achieved by not provoking saliva mixed with lumps, but rather allowing saliva to emerge naturally in the mouth and be gradually transferred into the liquid chamber.
The SalivaPOD™ allows thin saliva to gradually collect in the fluid chamber until the line above the three arrows is reached. At this level, approx. 1ml thin saliva. With the SalivaPOD™, a healthcare worker/professional can transfer the saliva to a laboratory tube for further processing and analysis.
