Since theft is obviously an unwelcome part of an everyday business, "Stop the Thief", a crime prevention tool for smartphones, has been developed with the aim of:
- Facilitate communication between activities: Once communicated between activities, it has been made via call lists. This is difficult to administer and often flows into the sand. For effective crime prevention cooperation, stronger communication between different businesses and trade areas is needed.
- Facilitate communication between businesses and the police: The app does not replace a formal notification but via the app, it is easily linked to register a crime to the police.
- Reduce the financial loss in your business: When a theft occurs, it often is followed up by several other thefts in other activities in a short period of time. With increased and more efficient communication between real-time businesses, we hope to also reduce the financial loss in your business.
Once the crime (eg theft) has occurred, the store simply enters the app and writes what has happened, and can also provide a short signal item. Remember to be objective and keep a good note, no photos or other personal data may be entered in the reports. This applies to all stores that are affiliated with the "Stop Thief" network.
