Kozma Prutkov is a collective pseudonym of Russian writers of the mid-19th century AK Tolstoy and three Zhemchuzhnikov brothers who created the fictional satirical image of a self-satisfied poet-official. Under this name poems, fables, aphorisms, comedies and literary parodies, deriding imaginary greatness, conservatism of thought, reactionary well-intention, various kinds of epigonism in literature were printed.
Especially popular among readers are "Thoughts and Aphorisms" by Kozma Prutkov.
