"Ayatul-kursî" is the name given to Surat al-Baqara, 255. Since the expression "God's curse" is used in the verse, that name is given to him.

The word "curse" in the verse was used as a symbol of God's power and sovereignty. In general, the verse is one of the most obvious verses that illustrate some of His attributes that demonstrate the magnificence, magnificence of Allah.
Sometimes it adds here the verses 256 and 257 of Surat al-Baqara and all three verses are called ayatul-khursi.
It is used in the Islamic tradition to eliminate many difficulties from the verse. It is a universal tool to solve the most various moral, psychological, material problems. They read verses of the Qur'an for healing from diseases, from the evil of men and of the jinn, to rid of the poverty, and to increase their sustenance, to overcome hardship, to overcome fear, to forgive sins, and so on.
The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) referred to the verse as "the most majestic of the Qur'an". He said that the devil could not enter the house for 30 days, and that house would be spared for 40 days. The Prophet had commanded Ali ibn Abi Talib (as): "The master of the Koran is the Baqara Sura, and the master of the Baqara Surah is the Ayat al-Kafir. Ya Ali! There are 50 words in this verse, and every blessing is 50 blessings. "(Surat al-Baqara, 255, contains 50 words with the deduction of" and "connectors).
After reading the ayat al-kerîm after the namâz, it is recommended in the hadîths. According to the legend, the Prophet used to read Ayat-ul-Kursi before sleeping. A person who prepares to go for a meal should read the ayatul-curse. Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS) has said that the one who reads the ayat al-kerîm in the world will have a thousand troubles and will eliminate the shortcoming in the Hereafter. The worst troubles in this world are poverty and the most troubles in the Hereafter are the grave of the grave. Of course, it is essential to read the verse with sincerity and sincerity, to think about its meaning, and to rely upon Allah in order to obtain the benefits mentioned.
