Presents the program Spiritual Direction on TV Canção Nova.

Fábio José de Melo Silva (born in Formiga / MG, April 3, 1971), was born in a family of humble origin and is the youngest of 8 children of Dorinato Bias Silva, bricklayer and, Ana Maria de Melo Silva, housewife. Attended the first degree at Abílio Machado State School, in Formiga / MG; the second degree at the Nossa Senhora de Lourdes College in Lavras / MG and the third degree at Philosophy at the Brusque Educational Foundation / SC. Then returned to the city of Taubaté / SP, to teach in the area of Fundamental and Systematic Theology, in the same college where he graduated. Today it is available at the Diocese of Taubaté.

His gift was discovered as early as childhood. Fábio de Melo led him to the humanistic cause and put his talent as a singer, songwriter and poet in the service of the Kingdom of God. He was ordained a priest on December 15, 2001, in his hometown, after 16 years of formation and studies at the Dehonian seminaries.

At the Mother Church of St. Vincent Ferrér, he was ordained a priest for the laying on of hands and consecratory prayer of the metropolitan archbishop of Belém / PA, Archbishop Alberto Taveira Corrêia. In his priestly and spiritual life, he has as reference, besides Father Zezinho and Father Joãozinho, the late Father Leo.

“To live is to leave and receive marks, since all life experiences, whether gay or sad, always leave marks on us.” (Father Fábio de MELO)

Father Fábio de Melo brings with him, born musicality. His artistic sensibility, with social and human vision, goes from the competence of a great interpreter, capable of thrilling, combining technique and gift, to the awareness of his own compositions that convey meaningful messages.

They are literary and poetic expressions that reveal broad knowledge not only literary, but philosophical. His sensitive language is careful, objective and universal. The sound is welcomed in the multiple completeness of audio-visual art, in current guise and timeless rhythms. Just watch work and shows to understand a complete artist.

The message of Jesus Christ is the bias of his compositions. Father Fábio de Melo is increasingly consolidating itself as one of the current pillars of religious Catholic music. It is part of the context of Brazilian music, by launching itself entirely into the craft of art, which it exercises with full respect.

With the full support of his family and with the encouragement of Father Joãozinho, scj, Father Fábio de Melo released his first album at the time of Seminary, in 1997, the CD “De Deus um singer”.

Upon receiving the diaconal ordination, he composes “The Seasons of Life”, making an analogy to the Seasons and the process of approaching man with God. Already ordained priest, in 2001, brings to the market “Marks of the Eternal”. This disc that emerges after the Master of Systematic Theology, reflects his then recent studies in Theological Anthropology on “the daily life as a place of revelation”.

The track that bears the name of the CD speaks in a very specific way of the consecrated way of living and speaks, clearly of its vocation.

And it can be that of anyone who has a religion and relates to the transcendent in a spiritualistic way, discovering himself as a “place of dignity” or as a “sacred ground”.
