The 99 have succeeded in succeeding where many others have failed to create a group of superheroes of Islamic reference. Naif at Mutawa has invented a classic history of unequivocal struggle between good and evil, in which the doctrinal burden does not differ much from western superheroes, only the appearance of some characters and the origin of the superpowers vary. The project has grown to become a series of cartoons that, thanks to the double English and Arabic version, can be seen in more than 70 countries.
