Humayun Ahmed is one of the most popular Bengali fiction writers of the twentieth century. He is a novelist, short story writer and playwright. He is the pioneer of Bangla science fiction. He also won the Drama and the Film Director. The number of books published in 2011 is two hundred. He is the father of the new style of dialogue in Bangla fiction. Despite the unparalleled popularity, he lived a long life and kept busy writing and writing. Several of his books have been translated into various languages of the world, some of the books are taught in the curriculum of the school-college university. During the war of liberation in 1971, the Pakistani army captured him and fired for assassination after torture. He miraculously survived. In September 2011, he was diagnosed with cancer. However, he could be easily treated without spreading the tumor. He was working as a professor of Chemistry Department of Dhaka University.
