How to play Hoşkin?
CARD DISTRIBUTION
The distribution is counterclockwise. The dealer deals 25 cards to 3 players each and places the remaining 5 cards in the middle of the table.
TENDER SELECTION
- Tender is made to select Trump. In Hoşkin, unlike Batak, the cards have points.
- A tender offer is made by predicting the hand to be opened before the game and the cards to be taken during the game in this scoring direction.
- If no bid is made at the end of the game, the bidder receives as many negative points as the bidder.
- The player who calls a pass is out of the bidding.
- At the end of the auction, 5 cards of the partner are opened for everyone to see.
- The player who made the offer takes the middle cards and chooses trump.
- Takes out 5 cards from your hand.
- The score of the cards he removes is added to that player.
OPENING CARDS
First of all, unlike in Batak, each card has a certain score. These;
- A:11, 10:10, F:4, Q:3, J:2 points.
Certain card groups have a certain score. Each player reveals the cards that they can group together. In this way, they get points before starting the game. The card groups are as follows;
- Marriages: Marriage is the name given to the coming together of K and Q cards of the same suit. A non-trump marriage is worth 20 points, and a trump marriage is 40 points.
- Team: If K and Q of all types come together, it is called a team. Gains 240 points.
- Pinik : If Q and Diamond J come into the spade, it is called pinik. It is 40 points. If there are 4 pins, if the player's score is not negative, there will be a pleasant situation and the game will be won automatically and it will be 3500 points.
- Series : Having A-10-KQJ cards of trump type is called series. It is 150 points.
- Full Team: If you have marrieds of other series besides the trump series, it is called a full team. This team earns you 350 points.
- Aces : It is the case of A of each suit. It gives 100 points.
- Priests: It is the case of having K of all kinds. Gains 80 points.
- Girls : It is the case of having all kinds of Q. Gives 60 points.
- Jacks: It is the case of having J of all types. Gains 40 points.
GAME PLAY
The gameplay is similar to the Batak game. However, there are certain differences as there are only A-10-KQJ cards in the game. The order of cards is A > 10 > K > Q > J, from largest to smallest. So 10 gets K and gold. If the same cards are rolled, whoever rolled first wins the hand. For example, if 3 A's of the same kind are thrown, whoever threw first wins the hand.
END OF GAME
At the end of the game, the points of the cards received are added up. The player who takes the last hand gets an additional 20 points. If the bidder does not receive as many points as his bid, he receives as many minus points as his bid.
