With VTech Kid Connect you stay connected to your child even when you are away from home.
The VTech Kid Connect app runs exclusively on the VTech Storio tablets (Storio® 3S, Storio® MAX) and on the DigiGo and allows children to communicate between their Storio® or DigiGo ™ and Android Phones or other smartphones. All contacts must be shared by parents before any communication can take place. Kid Connect is completely safe for your child!
NOTE: Kid Connect is for communication between a Storio® / DigiGo ™ and a smartphone. Smartphone users can not add other smartphone users without having at least one Storio® / DigiGo ™ user in the group.
WHY USE KID CONNECT?
• STAY IN CONTACT WITH YOUR CHILD. Kid Connect uses an Internet connection so you can communicate with your child no matter where in the world you are. Parents can also add family members and friends to the child's contact list so that grandparents, for example, can stay in touch.
• CHILD-SAFE. All contacts must be shared by parents before any communication can take place. Users who are not on a child's contact list can not contact this child.
• FOR ALL AGES GROUPS. Even younger children who can not write yet can use Kid Connect to share voice messages, photos, drawings, stickers, and given voice messages. Older children can also send text messages.
• GROUP CHAT. In group chat, your child can communicate with different family members or friends at the same time.
• IT IS FUN! You can personalize your Kid Connect avatar with a photo or use one of the standard cartoon designs. In addition, many funny stickers and default messages are available. Your child can even use the voice distorter and record a message with a robot or mouse voice.
USING KID CONNECT
Parents:
Upon registration of the corresponding VTech device, a parent receives a Kid Connect ID and password. This parent is then considered the owner of the user account and can use this app to manage the child's contact list. You can:
• Send friend or contact requests on behalf of your child
• Friend requests that your child receives or declines
The owner of the user account is automatically added to the child's contact list. The other parent must log in separately for a Kid Connect account and be added to the child's contact list as a friend.
Other family members:
You need parental consent before you can contact a child. After you sign up for a Kid Connect account, you'll share your Kid Connect ID with the parent of the child so he / she can send you a friend request.
Kid Connect works only with the Storio® 3S, Storio® MAX and DigiGo ™.
