Anvar Qori Tursunov was born on November 21, 1958 in the Hamza district of Tashkent city in the family of a servant. In 1966-1976, he studied at the 198th general secondary school in Hamza district. In 1981, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Tashkent State University, and in 2001, he graduated from the Tashkent Islamic Institute.

In 1989-1992, Anvar Qori Tursunov edited the first translation of the Holy Qur'an (the translation of Sheikh Alauddin Mansur). Anvar Qari Tursunov's translation of Ali ibn Ahmad Naysoburi's "Asbobun Nuzul" ("Reasons for the Revelation of the Verses"), "The Book of Virtues", and "Insan Mukarram Zat" have been published.
