Surah Yasin (Arabic: سورة يس, Ya Sin) is the name of the 36th sura of the Qur'an. It consists of 83 verses. It was revealed in Makkah. Derived from the Arabic letters "yo" and "sin". Some authors believe that these letters are a shortened form of the Arabic phrase "yo, human". In this surah, the main dogmatic ideas of Islam, such as the fact that the Qur'an was sent by God as a holy book, it shows the right path for Muslims, the prophethood of Muhammad, and the fact that believers who follow his teachings will return to God in the hereafter expressed.
