After the author of the book, the jurist Ahmad ibn al-Mubarak al-Sijlmasi, met with the scholar, Sidi Abd al-Aziz al-Dabbagh, and he says in his introduction: So
I saw from his knowledge, his knowledge, his virtues, and his sect what overwhelmed and dazzled me, and he led me in my entirety and captivated me.
And I heard from him in the aspect of the Master of Existence and the Knowledge of Witnesses, our Master and Mawlana Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, from the knowledge of his great destiny and his noble prestige, what has not touched my hearing since I was born from a human being, and I have not seen him written in a book, and you will see some of it, God Almighty willing, during the book, and I know people about it. The first of them is the Day of Judgment. Likewise, I heard from him knowledge of God, the Most High, the Most High of His Attributes, and the Greatness of His Names, which is neither conditioned nor intolerable, and cannot be comprehended except by the gift of the Creator King.
Likewise, I heard from him the knowledge of the honorable prophets and messengers of God Almighty, upon them be the best prayers and the purest peace, which is specific to him, as if he was with every prophet in his time, and from the people of his time and time. Likewise, I heard from him knowledge of the honorable angels, their different races, and the disparity of their great ranks.
Likewise, I heard from him the knowledge of the heavenly books and the prophetic laws of the past, the preceding cycles of the night and the day. He talks about eyewitnesses, and he tells about an investigation and gratitude. At that time, I became convinced of his great mandate, and I affiliated with his warm side, and I said: {
Praise be to God who has guided us to this, and we would not have been guided had it not been for God’s guidance}.
For every believer is only his request to know the previous matters, and thus his deal is profitable and hypocritical, and our master Gabriel, peace and blessings be upon him, asked our master and Mawlana Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, about the truth of faith, and he said: “To believe in God and his angels, his writers, his messengers, and his soul.
We have not heard such acquaintances, and it increases their astonishment because the owner of it, may God be pleased with him, is illiterate and did not deal with knowledge, and among those who turned away from it outwardly is the extreme of turning away, and everyone who hears something from them remains a pleasure from it today and two days and Friday and the two Fridays, and if I meet them and they meet me they ask me if I heard anything from those knowledge and benefits cuteness? So I mention to them what I can, and that increases their love and amazement, and had it not been for the fear of boredom, I would have named those who used to hear his words from me and take pleasure in them, for whoever knows them by their names knows the status of our Sheikh, may God be pleased with him, because of their fame among people with guardianship, glorification and reverence until the end, in addition to their frequent association with the righteous and knowledgeable saints and the length of their association with them. Complete with heart, love and intellect, until they knew by that the secrets of guardianship, the descriptions of the lovers, the attributes of the gnostics, the virtues of the truthful and the conditions of the rightly guided, this is despite their being among the greatest scholars and virtuoso jurists, and when they heard from me some of the words of our sheikh, may God be pleased with him, they commanded me to persevere in his love, and they said: This is, by God, the perfect guardian And the knowledgeable one.
In sum, no one heard his words but hastened to fully accept them, and you will stand on that by what you see during the book, God willing, with His grace and generosity.
(And when it was Rajab) in the year one hundred and twenty-nine thousand, the Blessed and Most High inspired me, praise and thanks be to Him, to restrict some of its benefits so that the benefit would spread through it and the return would be complete, so I collected some of what I heard in the month of Rajab, Sha’ban, Ramadan, Shawwal and Dhu’l-Qi’dah, and if it was close to fifteen books, I knew that if I restricted what I have heard from him in the past four years, it would have been more than two hundred pamphlets, and the scourge of knowledge is non-restriction.
And know, may God grant you success, that all that was tied up are drops from the sea of Zakhar, which has no bottom or coast.
As for the sciences that are in the chest of the Sheikh, may God be pleased with him, none can count them except his Lord, the Most High, who singled him out for them.
